Overview

NRI High Voltage Laboratory was established to perform high voltage tests according to international and national standards on various high voltage equipment and to develop technical supports for manufacturers and electrical equipment industries and also research activities on power systems in 1996.

At present, NRI HV Lab is one of the important HV Labs in Iran, which has an experienced technical team and expertized engineers to present any kind of laboratory and consultation services to the manufacturers, consumers, and utilities in the Middle East.

Mission

Due to the necessity of quality control and assurance in the field of high voltage equipment, which has a high growing of utilization in the networks of distribution and transmission both for locally manufactured and imported component, the tests are performed on the manufactured equipment to ensure the compatibility of their not only nominal specification with standards but also determining the damage thresholds both for electrical and nonelectrical stresses.

Combining leading technical and operational expertise, risk methodology, and in-depth industry knowledge, QT Lab empowers its customer’s decisions and actions with trust and confidence.

The Lab focuses specifically on the following areas:

  • Implementation of sample, type and design tests of all kinds of high voltage equipment.
  • Implementation of corona test on high voltage insulators and fittings.
  • Implementation of routine and type tests on Distribution transformers.
  • Technical consultant for troubleshooting of the failed HV insulators or systems.
